Just reached out to Fallkniven to see about when they would be shipping, and they replied with this:
"Hello,
we don't sell directly to Drop but to our US agents only. We have no idea from whom Drop is buying our products, we never ask our agents about their customers.
We have 350 pc S1x in stock.
Drop is not an authorized dealer. They are even not a dealer. Buying from them should void our ten year warranty, see this link https://fallkniven.se/en/product-information/warranty/ . Best regards Peter Hjortberger" This is obviously troubling, as in the description on the Drop page, the 10 year warranty is mentioned. I bought this knife, but I'm a little confused as to how exactly the warranty is going to work? Through Drop? Or..?

Sheath is definitely an improvement but the handle solves a problem that never existed. I actually like the complete wrap of the handles of old. Good price though.

Jakob....the handle solves the problem in the sense of the design. The new handle integrates with the sheath design, the finger guard / lock placement. The slab handle should fill out without being too much for the Full Tang thickness, so hopefully that means a balance in proportion.
The Full Tang design make this a more Survival class of knife, a chopping pry bar that slices watermelon. :D
This design also lends to not having to deal with warranty as much from folks battoning with the knife and potentially loosing the guard on the Pro model. Also you can take off the slab handle for cordage wrap, like some hardcore Joes like to do.
Plus it opens up to a nice slab mod after purchase. I hope the screws are stainless, if not i would like to replace those, and that they are replaceable easily ( common thread size and diameter )
