These cables are incredibly short, and that’s a good thing. If you have a desktop setup they’ll plug right in and won’t clutter your desk or drop behind it with extra slack. They’re also very well made, solid cables overall. If you’re looking for cables to connect your desktop setup together, strong recommendation from me.
if looks and feel matter to you then these are for you
I've tried some cheaper sleeved xlr's and always had issues with them (usually being impossible to bend, crappy feeling or just awful connectors) if these were $30 I would say for sure go for it but not really adding any features over say cable matters cables besides the sleeve and maybe better shielding so $40 for this is ehhh compared to like $15 for a pair of cable matters also wish they had options for slightly longer cables and weren't as stiff but it's workable
The perfect length to work with my desktop setup. Connectors connect and these do that well enough. Not having others to compare them to I cant say whether these ads or detract from the music. Great length and price.
These are nice looking and sturdy XLR cables. I can’t say I notice a difference in connection quality or audio signature between these and the $9 monoprice XLRs I was using before. I’d be curious to hear if anybody noticed a quality improvement.
PapptonaFor interconnects, there should be no noticeable difference in sound quality due to the nature of transmission and the extremely short runs, unless there's fault in the soldering or the connectors/cable has bad shielding and the environment is very unconducive (noisy). Noise shielding is particularly important in Mic cables as the signals will go through multiple stages of amplification after it, which means any noise picked up would be boosted significantly in the process. Star quad cables offer the best noise rejection (I'm personally using custom Audioblast HQ-4 with Neutrik XLRs on my mics after experiencing bad smartphone interference on another cable), as demonstrated in the following videos

For guitar cables capacitance is key, and in post-amplification cables resistance is the thing to look out for
I received them from Drop a week ago and they look and feel great. Will test them using a THX 789 Amp and Grace Balanced DAC and will update accordingly.
