I can't believe that people are willing to pay $45 for this...

ShipwreckPeople are known to be bloody pants on head retarded. I’d rather spend $6-7 per cable and make my own using Neutrik and Mogami. That or pay $8 per cable and use another Monoprice StageRight... like the 50 or so I already have.

ShipwreckThe connectors are halfway decent, but the wire isn't as good as Mogami. And yeah, $45 is pretty steep for a few inches of wire.

LuckyLuke575Bingo. You nailed it. Too high of price for what you get as well as the lack of difficulty in making them yourself.

FayneYeah. I recently bought a pair of 1.5 m RCA interconnects with top shelf Neutrik gold pro connectors and Mogami Neglex 4 core OFC W2534 wire for EUR 56. Of course one could make it at home for cheaper, but I leave that kind of handicraft to others :)

FayneProbably the best combo out there, Mogami and Neutrik!

LuckyLuke575If you are in EU, sommer 200-0301 is also worth trying.

ShipwreckSimply ridiculous. For the same price you can get XLR cables made from class-leading Gotham star quad and silver plated Amphenol connectors. Studio-grade. https://www.amazon.com/gp/product/B01DIU7JG6/

verifonixThe reason for that 'Gotham' lead is for very long cable runs: shielding for RF rejection, flexibility for tough durable mechanical resilience. Not sound quality. For medium and short runs you can do much better for sound quality. And not for high cost. Just some Neutrik connectors for about £3.50 each (=£14) and some solid silver 99.99% 0.71mm wire (say 3 metres for a pair of 0.5metre cables = about £30). Solder it together yourself.

IanSThe gotham 4 still has low capacitance though unlike other star quads. It should be fine for general use :)
