Man, I was really looking forward to have an arcade fightstick. Now, can anyone suggest me a good arcade fightstick with sanwa parts for PC? My budget is around $150-200

AkumaKuronoFor PC only? Qanba makes really good fightsticks for PC. The reason I was interested in the 8bitdo was the Famicom design.

The Hori RAP line is really good too, but they use their own Hayabusa joystick and Kuro buttons. The folks at Shoryuken are pleased with the Hayabusa stick and seemed to respect the Kuro buttons as well. I am personally planning on building a custom stick with Hayabusa and Kuro parts.

So, I received the email that this drop was cancelled because the product can't enter the country. That's fine, since we're getting a refund but I am wondering about the "manufacturing specifications" that prevented the delivery. Did it have lead in it? Did it explode? Was it made using illegal labor? I'm just curious more than anything, not a burning question.

Just buy an HRAP4KAI, this shit is a waste of money.

jubongaIt's not a waste of money. It may not be the best investment based on your needs or it may be. Do you own one of both? If so, please explain why this product is a waste of money compared to what you suggested that is 60 to 70 bucks more expensive. If you don't own both then I don't how you could knock something you've never tried or even laid hands on. I'm truly trying to learn as much as I can to make the best educated purchase based on information and not just an opinion. If you have knowledge of using both, then you would have great pros and cons to share with the community. Thanks in advance.

jubongaHave you actually used it? It has the same case as the Mayflash, which is fairly well regarded in the Shoryuken community. I don't know about the PCB, but if it's not the best, that's something that can be swapped. I really want this one because of the elegant Famicom look. The Sanwa joystick means that's one less component to swap out. I'm not sure about the buttons yet as that review has left me confused about them, but if they're not Sanwa's, I do have some Sanwa OBSF-30's lying around so that's not a biggie.

Ok, so if one opts for the joystick without Sanwa, would that mean that when you move the analog stick, it won't return to center or neutral? Does that mean it just stays where you leave it?

Thanks for that info. I think I'll pass based on the intermittent functionality of quick presses of the game buttons with them having to be fully depressed and then allowed to travel to their max height before being pressed about to be registered. I want TRUE machine gun keypresses and this, and the reviews I've read, are too iffy for my competitive nature in the genre of games I'd be using with this controller. Tis a shame. I love the setup and looks and really the blue tooth functionality that also allows direct plug and play via the hard wired USB cable. Maybe future iterations will be slightly better engineered. I'm not knocking this Joystick. It looks amazing and seems to function rather well but the little details about its shortcomings makes me want to wait for better designs that I'm sure will be coming in the future based on the overwhelming positive purchase numbers 8bitdo has been receiving. I did jump on one of their earlier joypad drops. Good luck 8bitdo. We, as in the joystick gaming community looking for something else, are pulling for your company. =)

Neblin7That comment left me really confused in the review. I guess I'll find out when I get it as there's frustratingly little info about this joystick out there. Anyway, worst case scenario I'll end up swapping the mainboard but I hope it's just an issue with the buttons (or maybe the guy reviewing it got a dud; I'll probably open it up to check on the microswitches before actually using it).

Why wireless? Can you manually attach a cable to it? I mean, I'd think you'd want to reduce any chance of input lag whatsoever if you're willing to invest into a stick.

FalconX0101Oh okay, that makes this a pretty good buy then. I'd get it if I didn't already have a stick.
