No offense but what makes this better than the $20 Double Edge Razor I have? Sure this one looks a bit cooler and looks a bit shinier but $150? And for that price they cannot even include shipping?

firesoul453Hi there! One of the primary factors that puts this razor in this price range is that it is milled out of stainless steel. The most cost efficient stainless razor you will find is the Weber which is about$75 but the stainless head is cast, not milled. This is a precision razor with super tight tolerances.
With all that said, I own the iKon OSS, iKon slant, iKon shavecraft 101, Weber polished head with 3 different handles, this feather, and a few custom stainless handles. When people say this is a mild razor, they are being completely honest. This razor pretty much requires that you use the feather blades because a less sharp blade (I've tried Astra, personna blue, Wilkinson swords, and feathers with this razor) will require several passes as opposed to the standard 3 or 4 pass shave.
My preference is for the iKon slant and the Weber head but this would make an excellent first razor because it is very forgiving for excessive pressure or passes. It will surely last several lifetimes if taken care of (don't leave it wet or submerged and I'm sure it will last a very long time!).
One final note, if this is your first DE razor, make sure you have $50-$150 set aside for a brush, bowl, proper shaving cream, and other paraphernalia!! Cheers and happy shaving!!
