SilverstrikeQuality stuff costs more money. You can buy a cheap shirt from H&M for $10, or you can buy a Hugo Boss shirt for $150. This is already discounted from MSRP. If the price is too steep for you, there are lots of other DE razors with lower prices in that case.

KailecHugo Boss shirts are pretty ugly shirts for 150 though. I think you should have used a better comparison LOL

TheGrouchI was making a comparison on materials, not looks, but even so I would argue against what you said since I do like their dress shirts at the price.

KailecDress shirts are fine. They have tshirts for that price also which is pretty ridiculous.

KailecDress shirts are fine. You spend your dough for formal wear and look like a 'BOSS' during events. But T-shirts... well you can spend but i go often for the creative ones. Some unknown designers have the freshest styles - just wear your style.
I am into Rock and Gaming mostly - so i wear those T-shirts. I have some golf T-shirts which cost quite more.

KailecI agree to some extent but 150 $ for a shave, dude? There is so much you can do and achieve beyond your 5 min tête-à-tête with your Razor and After shave every morning.
I always invest in things which gives you back several times over. Like a good AMP (why did i go back there?), even though you spend 300$ - 500$ on it. Every time you hear your DT 990 or HD 800 or Q 701s on them, it will bring a smile to your face and that means much more.
(I can't imagine anyone smiling at the mirror with shaving cream on their face with this razor, cuz' thats creepy.)

SilverstrikeIf the price is too steep in your eyes, then you're not the target audience for this sort of thing. That's fine, not everyone cares enough about shaving to spend this much on a razor. Just like I would drop $1k on an HD800 no problem, but plenty of people would tell me I'm nuts for it. This is a good price for the razor, relative to the normal MSRP, and relative to what you normally see it being on sale for (you never see it lower anywhere else). That's all I'm saying. Whether the price is worth it to you is up to you. There's a reason why so many people are in on this drop and in previous drops.
I enjoy listening to music on good headphones, I enjoy shaving with this razor. If you only spend 5 minutes shaving, again, this isn't for you. A good proper shave with a DE razor wouldn't take you 5 minutes only. It certainly doesn't for me. I spend 15 minutes personally, including the prep and cleanup (though I have hard to shave, flat facial hair too). Is it worth it for me? Absolutely. I feel great and refreshed in a way I never did using old cartridge razors, especially when shaving after a shower. I don't smile while shaving (that would make it difficult to shave), but I definitely do afterwards.

KailecYour detailed shaving explanation made me laugh but i completely understand what you are saying and maybe life is supposed to be lived this way, nothing being insignificant and everything cherished. We would not be forced to make choices and compromises if we could.
If my finances allowed it (earned big money) i would totally would have bought it.
One thing, i would never say you are nuts for buying HD800, its totally worth it.

SilverstrikeYou should try the other razor that's dropping right now of you're interpreted in this type of shaving. The amount of money you save from buying 100 blades for $30 is crazy cheap versus the 5 cartridges you buy for $30 normally.
I wish I had the finances for the HD800.. :/
