This is a cool razor. I have three different Feather razors, but they are all the straight non-folding stick variety, like the Japanese kamisori type form factor.
It's all a matter of preference, but I could never get used to the way the folding handle sticks out like 90 degrees from the blade when you hold it. For me, a straight handle that mirrors the direction of the blade works better. But to each his own.
The Feather blades are know to be scary sharp. Feather razors are feared even by those who use traditional straight (cut throat) razors for the Feather's exacting and unforgiving nature! That's saying something, as traditional straight razors already scare the heck out of most people.
I understand this is the SS version, which has a more forgiving rounded head profile, so this one is more accessible to most folk who don't want to maintain the monk like focus you need to survive a shave from the DX or RG heads unscathed.
I find the DX and RG heads to give a closer, superior shave but, boy, you really have to be in the right frame of mind to use one in order not to cut yourself.
The SS is more forgiving and easier to use on a regular basis, but doesn't give quite as close a shave.
Here is a description of the different head designs:
