Can someone recommend a good amp for my V-MODA Crossfade M-100? These are the specs of my headphones on the manufacturer's website: - Frequency Response - 5 - 30,000Hz - Sensitivity - 103 dB @ 1kHz 1mW - Impedance - 32Ω
Also, how do you choose an amp for your headphones? What specs do you look at?

MelophileWhen choosing an amp, the two main headphone specs you want to look at are impedance and sensitivity. The higher the headphone impedance, the greater its resistance to current conduction (so a lower value is generally better). The higher the headphone sensitivity the easier it is for headphones to achieve a certain volume (higher value = better). Typically less than ~100 Ohms in impedance and greater than ~100 db @ 1Khz 1mW is quite efficient for a pair of headphones. Therefore I'd say, you don't need an amp at all for your V-MODA CF M100. You will very likely notice no difference with an amp since any portable device can drive them well. Now if you want a DAC, to counter a noisy PC environment for example, then that's a different issue.
*On the amp spec side you want to focus on its type (ex. solid state vs tube), output impedance (lower = better), SNR (higher = better), and output power at your headphone's impedance. *
Hope that helps.
