Question:
How will this DAC AMP work since my setup is passive speakers driven by Yamaha receiver that are connected to the PC sound card, asking this because this Dac Amp is with USB connection, is this Dac Amp suitable more for laptops, tablets etc? not sure how will it work via USB since the sound card don't have USB connection slot, or you just plug it in the mobo usb slot and drags the sound trough there which I doubnt a little bit that's the way it can go, any answers?

Solli@Solli Yes, you just plug it in any USB ports.
And about your speakers, if you want it as a DAC for them too then you can have it before your receiver in your chain. Assuming that the DAC in the FiiO do better than the one in your Yamaha receiver, wich I don't think. Then just keep everything as you have and only use the FiiO for your headphones or if you really want to be able to control the volume for both your speakers and your headphones from the FiiO then use the line out. (keep the receiver as an amp for the speakers, or compare them also for the amp... But I believe a receiver/amp made for speakers will do better than the FiiO)

Moooooon_ManThat's what I have been pondering upon and having a discussion with other people regarding this. I mean I have the Yamaha R-S201 paired with BIC America FH-65B, its a nuts and bolts combo, speakers are broken in, they sound crisp and clear and they have also crispy bass to them that there is no need for subwoofer. On a good clear recording I don't dare to push the amplifier pass 60%, windows are shaking..... Anyways the discussion with other peeps was that they claim that I will get clearer sound because the DAC will be external and far away from the PC components.... I tried reasoning with these so called audiophile nerds that my damn video card is $200 HT|OMEGA Claro + that has at least 1-2 DAC chips in it, all Japanese capacitors and rest are top grade components, there are also at least 3-4 DAC chips on the motherboard itself, and yet another 1-2 DAC chips in the Yamaha receiver...... The only issue that I can think of when it comes to sound is when I turn on the PC and when Windows starts I get that POP sound once and that's it, sometimes I remember to turn down the volume so I avoid hearing the pop, but most of the times I forget, and really don't bothers me much....
As far as listening on headphones I never liked them, I cant stand my ears being trapped, hot and sweaty.... I have no problem listening loud either cause I live alone and for gaming I just use the standalone microphone and works awesome and don't interfere with the speaker sound.... The only reason I was looking at the DAC is not for headphones but for clearer sound from the speakers, honestly I don't think it will get any more clearer than it is now. Thanks for the reply dude, much appreciated :)

SolliYeah, you will not get a better sound than what you already have, you are fine ^^
Personally I prefer headphones, for immersion mostly (with music and games) but also because I would need to put the same amount if not more money than for my DT-990 for the same precision and pleasure...). But that being said, I plan on buying a pair of "studio" speakers for a simple reason : being able to listen to music in my room while I do some other stuff and with a better quality than the crappy speakers that are on my (GREAT) AOC 32" monitor :/
