So I am new too this stuff and I just purchased this amp with some astrotech ax-35's. I know I should of checked out online if they would work together, so do you guys think that they should work together?

Seth1998zYou don't "need" an amp because the impedance of your AX-35s can be played from virtually any source. As long as you have a decent source (ipod, computer, cell, etc) you can get a good sound from your IEMs. But I will tell you this, I prefer the sound of IEMs or over the ear with an amp. I have been using this amp/dac and I love it. For what it is, it is a bargain. Andriod and laptop friendly, charges your cell battery, lasts forever too and it is very portable, the sound is great (gain down [unless you have hungry headphones to feed], bass down). The e18 is a great on-the-go dac/amp to have on hand; offering solid solid sound quality...the sound card is supposed to be newer and one of the better portable sc's out there. But it all comes down to preference and what your wallet can handle. You'll enjoy it my friend. You'll hear a niiiice difference for sure.
As far as it being a good match with your IEMs I am not sure...my Havi B3s are not a good match but my Ostry KC06As are a gem!
The e18 gives enough juice for needy headphones too (beyerdynamics dt990 600 ohms hah).

charles_dunkinAlright Thanks a lot. I am extremely excited to start becoming a audio enthusiast and if my headphones are not a good match, I will just test out other headphone to get it right and start a little collection.
