what do they mean when they say 'newest version.' Is this a direct replacement for another product or simply a revision. Any differences you know about?

generic_user_2There was a prior revision that didn't have the three-position switch to determine how one of the USB ports would work. At this point, the title is somewhat needless, since no new unit is made without that switch, so it would only be relevant to those that buy a used one from the first run from another.
