The third iteration of FiiO’s popular X3 audio player, the X3 Mark III delivers Hi-Res audio with cutting-edge connectivity options. To accommodate all kinds of headphones, it features both 3.5-millimeter and 2.5 millimeter outputs. For detailed digital-to-audio conversion, it comes with two high-performance PCM5242 DACs, plus a low-pass filter and headphone amplifier for equalization and amplification. These components are completely separated from one another to all but eliminate negative sound interference. The X3 Mark III also supports dual-mode Bluetooth, which makes it easy to transmit and receive Bluetooth signals simultaneously—great for Bluetooth remote-and-headset combos. Summing up the X3 Mark III, Headfonia reviewer Lieven writes: “FiiO has delivered the best sounding X3 DAP so far.”
