When I first listened to these I wasn't as impressed. I did like them. But wasn't REALLY digging them you know.
But after spending some time with them it's a completely different story. Really digging the sound signature.
The sound signature on these is quite unique tbh. And it may take some getting used to for some people (it took me a little bit to get used them). The muffledness people are talking about is probably from the darkness of the iem, because it is definitely a dark iem. If you're coming from a bright/neutral sound signature these will sound very different (even though they are dark it doesn't veil the midrange, at least for me). But at the same time there is also warmth/coloration. It's very strange and hard to describe. But I really really like it. On vocal centric tracks the mids sound amazing.
The stock tips do have their faults. I just ordered some Monster hybrid foam ear tips. And will be experimenting with different ones. Not really digging the stocks tbh. They make my ear canals itchy after I take them out, the tips attract to much dust so it's hard to clean off, and the bore size is too small; I feel like I'm losing on some clarity and soundstage.
Just a heads up though, the stock tips have to be inserted deep, end of discussion or the sound quality isn't going to be as full and rich lol. Just go down a size if you have to. While the deep insertion does take me to a different place, the stocks aren't doing it for me. If they came with bigger bore size tips I could have let go of the negatives.
I'm hearing that cord microphonics are an issue with this. did you find that as well?
Cord noise is definitely there when you wear them down. But wearing them over ear solves that issue. It would've been nice if they had included a shirt clip. Even though it does have cord noise there are easy workarounds
I don't see how the Heaven III is "dark". They have as much or more treble presence as the Havi B3.
