I was a part of the first drop for the Sonorous VI's and I really enjoy these cans. Some reasons include the soundstage, musicality, detail retrieval, ease to drive and build quality. However, these things only come together if you put the Shure 1540 Alcantara pads on them. The A/B pads are very poorly designed in my opinion. The A pads are uncomfortable and have very harsh treble with some tracks, while the B pads sound better but are even more uncomfortable. It's unfortunate that you need to drop another $40 on these to bring them to the level they should be at in the first place, but it's well worth it.
