To those who already own these: What genres would you recommend them for? It sounds like their signature is similar to a Grado, but I heard the Sonorous VI are not good for rock?
Can anyone compare them to the Fostex TH-x00?

I have been listening to everything from the Force Awakens soundtrack to Strapping Young Lad via Aphex Twin, Biggie Smalls and Joanna Newsome and to my ears, the Sonorous handles them all with aplomb.
I have moved from Grado 325is to these and to my mind they have a similar clarity, sweet high-end and soundstage but with a more powerful and resonant bass and seem less prone to the occasional harshness on some recordings which the Grados were.
Interestingly, whilst I am not a great believer in "break-in" (the science doesn't seem to quite stack up IMHO ) it did seem to take a fair few hours of play time to go from "these are Ok" to "Wow I love these headphones". Whether that represents a physical change in the 'phones over time or just my ears and brain re-adjusting from my previous cans, who knows.

How much sound leakage have you noticed? You seem pretty straight-forward with explaining your experience with them and most articles and such just give yes/no/maybe-so type answers. For instance, if there is sound leakage, is it muffled or fairly clear for others to hear your music? Have you noticed a volume threshold or type of music that does it more than others?
And thanks again for your insight as an actual user, it's helpful.

I am afraid I can't help you too much on that one at the moment - you would have to ask my wife and she is out of town. The fact that she doesn't throw stuff at me any more when we are in the same room and she is trying to watch TV suggests they are much better at containing sound than my Grado's, but that's to be expected - they certainly couldn't be any worse!
From the other side, I feel I get a nice seal on them and they certainly reduce external noise around me, but I don't feel totally isolated as I have done with other closed back unit.
