You can find a similar deal on amazon for the Alta HR, same color, a little less than this drop.

I dont want an application on my mobile (at all), I want an application on my computer/or/on a website. Have you done something like that (something like "go to https://[name].fitbit.com/ and connect to check your performance)? What is the minimum and maximum width of the wrist (estimation) to be sure it fits well?

OlivierPonsMy last Fitbit had a USB dongle that could be connected to a computer and would update your stats for you. After a year of daily wear, the unit became loose from the band and I lost it.... :(

OlivierPonsunfortunately many of these fitness trackers and wearable technology gadgets in general do require you to have a mobile app : /

The inspire hr which replaced this discontinued model is only $99 new from Fitbit. Not a great deal here unless you very specifically want this older device or are very cost conscious.

Buyer beware. I received an Alta for free, and I switched to a Garmin device after about 6 months because I was so tired of all the problems I had with it. As someone else here mentioned, I frequently had problems with the Android app. I knew someone who used it with iOS, and they had different but equally frustrating issues. I was also tired of the device randomly freezing. That was really annoying because it the Alta series doesn't have any physical buttons to power it off. (The button on the charging cable wouldn't work, either.) I would always have to wait for the battery to die and then charge it before I could use it again. In the intervening days, I wouldn't be able to track any steps or sleep. As I began to talk with others about their experiences with the Alta and other Fitbit products, I quickly discovered that they all had similar experiences to share. I knew more than 15 people who had Fitbit products, and every single one of them had major issues with their Fitbits. At least 4 of them had devices that completely failed within the first 2 years. In the end, the Alta just felt like it was too much of a hassle to use. I switched to a Garmin product, which I've now had for over 2 years. It has frozen twice (once a year, not every 7 weeks as with the Alta), and the Garmin app always works. Fitbit has major quality control issues across the board, so I really can't recommend them at any price. It's hard to imagine you'd be worse off with any other competing product.

MountainPassIm still using my old Fitbit One. The fact that its still working is surprising, since I bought it when they initially came out. However, its not without its issues. It wont sync with my Galaxy Note 4. I have to sync it with PC using the base station, I suspect bluetooth is broken on my One. It also wants me to do a firmware update as there is a newer one available, but it wont actually update. It just fails. So yeah, kind of a finnicky device. I cant imagine how their other devices function.

Just a note, Fitbit officially "discontinued" the Alta line so this is old stock, although they'll still support it. Also been using one for almost a year now and can say the stock Fitbit Android app sucks, seems like pretty much everything is done server side so the thing is full of jitter and loading screens with almost no offline functionality, not a smooth experience at all.

The alta HR comes in small and large sizes. Which one is this drop for? Or can I choose the size too?

I've had the Alta HR for a few months now. Everything is great except for the heart rate monitor. It's very inaccurate. I purposely purchased this to track my HR so that disappointed me. But if you don't care about HR, this is a great product.

swatdoggyThe Charge 2 and Alta HR have most of the same functionality. The Charge 2 includes steps climbed, GPS, and a few other small features. https://www.fitbit.com/compare I've only used the Alta but I really love the form factor

Fitbit doesn't say that this model is shower proof on their website like they do in this discription.
