What is this watch’s connection to photography? Seems like some marketer was thinking “There are watches for pilots, cosmonauts, soldiers and sailors. Why not photographer?” At least put some effort in establishing some connection, like a “golden hour” sector on the dial. As a photographer, I would be ashamed if anyone would catch me wearing it.
MrSharkbaitI agree. I’m a photographer as well, and I also don’t see any connection. If the watch didn’t carry the Photographer moniker, I would have never made that connection.
Perhaps the bezel reminds one of the front edge of a lens. But to call it a Phototrapher watch because of that it a really big stretch.
K.T.NReading this gave me an idea: you can easily fit a light meter into a watch, how cool is that? The bezel will work just like hand held meters. It's perfect!
boozedHere is another low-tech idea. No light sensor or circuits, but There will be an inner dial with f-stops, one per hour. The outer bezel is shutter speed. Dial in one reading using the Sunny 16 rule, and look up the other exposures that line up. You only get a 12-stop range, but most of the time that is good enough.
K.T.NThey have a whole line of Photographer watches, and the Marquee pieces have 2 to 3 items on each dial/bezel that could be seen as a lense, these skeleton pieces only retained the bezel's so called lens look, which is pretty dubious. But same case and family, so there you have it

Nah, I've got nothing.
