Product Description
A pair of simple, great-fitting pants from Swedish outdoor company Fjällräven, the High Coast Trousers are equally at home around town and on the trails. The lightweight, well-ventilated design makes them suited for active pursuits in warm conditions, while the decidedly subtle look—a far cry from conventional zip-off cargo pants—works for travel and everyday use Read More
I just got my refund. Massdrop held $70 of my money for a full month while delivering nothing but pain. Meanwhile, I researched the product, figured out what size to order, placed the order, waited weeks to receive it, found out they got it wrong, requested to return it, dealt with a stupid runaround to get Massdrop to send a return label, printed the label using my own print supplies, repackaged the wrong item, taped the label on, drove to the UPS store to drop it off, and waited more weeks for the refund to be issued. I have exactly nothing except a lot of wasted time and effort on my part. Massdrop had $70 of my money collecting interest for a month. And this is the second time I've had to put up with all of this. I am done with Massdrop. I'd rather pay a little more to deal with companies that give a shit, and don't fill my mailbox with spam all day long.
Wow. What a tremendous disappointment. Just received the High Coast "Hike" version today out in California. Curious, did ANYONE get the correct pair? This is the second time there has been a major SNAFU with MD and Fjällräven pants that I've wanted to order. Will be returning for a full refund as these were also the "long" version. At this point, the discount MD offers is nowhere near the headache and wait time for these pants.
I received the High Coast Hike Trousers, and while I was happy to be part of the originally intended High Coast Trousers drop, I don't mind the product I received in it's place. Not many people like the material but I am fine with it. The fit is nice, the length is cut appropriate to my height (where as many of Fjallraven's pants have an extended raw cut length that is rather long). And after the 20$ refund, these pants were only about 50$ which is a considerable amount of savings than purchasing them on the Fjallraven site, I'm happy with the product I received. Obviously not many people will share my opinion and this was not the intended product we were supposed to receive.
One of the downsides to getting this from Massdrop than the Fjallraven site is that Massdrop does not supply the 4 swedish fish that ussually comes with the purchase of Fjallraven products. Which is always an added bonus when purchasing from Fjallraven.
I get the stuff ups happen and I think Mass drop have been pretty good once the realised the issue. It would be great to know if you are going to run the drop again for the actual pants we ordered. I am sending mine back as I dont really like the material but I would like to get the high coast from the original drop, could you post an update on what options we have i.e. new drop etc. Cheers.

Mark M.There's only one way to "make it right," and that's to send exactly what we ordered, even if it means that Massdrop has to eat some cost. That's how any respectable business would "make it right."
I've participated in six drops. This is the second one where Massdrop completely screwed the pooch and I had to go to the trouble of returning the item, leaving me with nothing but wasted time while they help themselves to several weeks of interest on my money. That's a 33% failure rate. What other business could survive on that kind of customer disservice?
Massdrop, if you have to buy the thing at full price so you can send me exactly what I ordered, then that's what you should do. Anything else is unacceptable. If you have to eat the cost enough times, maybe you'll finally learn how to run a proper business.
Well that sucks. I’ve not received it yet, so I don’t know if i got wrong one. not sure if massdrop screwed up all the orders?
Cause I did not get any $20 refund
I was refunded $20 because they sent the wrong ones. So for $50 these are nice pants but not what I really wanted or ordered. Overall I think it was an acceptable way to deal with the problem so I won't complain.
