I tried to take this to the local Fjallraven store to ask about a repair and they called it a "Really Convincing Fake". Is there any way to prove authenticity? @Tyler

I just received the backpack. Looks great. I have to say it is a bit smaller than I expected. Not bad, I can make due but it is small for 6' dude.

It’s happening! Thanks to each of you, the drop was a success and we have contacted the vendor for the Fjallraven Kanken Backpack and submitted the group’s order. They are now working hard and preparing your orders for shipment to our warehouse in New Jersey, where our team will be standing by ready to break everything down into individual orders and reship them directly to you. We currently expect to have everything out of our warehouse and on its way to you by 8/14.
We will certainly keep you up to date on the process and provide all of you with updated information about the order status as soon as it becomes available to us.

Straps with no padding? What were they thinking?

TenryuuYeah, the lack of padding is pretty much the only reason why I'm hesitant to buy this. I'd love to hear what people who have this bag have to say about this. Is it really uncomfortable (especially if you carry it for a longer period of time) or does it just look like it's gonna be?
From what I understand though, this is sort of the basic model of Kanken backpacks. Fjallraven makes other models in the same line, in different sizes and with some little design changes, like padded straps, leather details, etc. I'd really like to see a drop for the 17" laptop model.
