Thought I'd drop by with an opinion.
I have a pair of the Vidda Pro and a pair of the Keb Trousers, both in the same size. I reach for the Keb every time. Here's why:
* I have a 32" waist, but I have a relatively big butt and I… wear pretty big boxer shorts in the front, if you know what I mean. The Vidda Pro in my size are totally fine when standing, and are lethal when sitting: there's just not enough fabric in the seat and crotch. The next size up are fine when sitting, but they fall off when standing because the waist is so big. The Keb in my size are great: the large areas of stretchy softshell make them dramatically more comfortable. * The Keb trousers keep the Vidda Pro's excellent ankle closures, and add nice vent zippers on both calves and thighs. * The left thigh pocket on the Keb is zippered, and the belt loop has an additional keeper loop.
The only advantages of the Vidda Pro are:
* The additional pockets. I do miss these a little when I wear the Keb, but neither have big bellows pockets, so I rate both as a little bit of a fail here. If you fill the Vidda Pro's pockets with anything more than a map and a billfold you'll be very uncomfortable, because they just don't have the volume: you'll feel every hard edge and protrusion as your possessions intrude into the space your legs would like to occupy, and if you do so much as jam a pair of gloves in your pocket you won't be able to sit down. * Price. Particularly on Massdrop, the Vidda Pro pants are cheaper. * Durability. The Keb softshell areas aren't as durable as G-1000, so if you're really bushwacking, they might show wear more readily.
