From the first time I tried to plug it in it didn't work. Doesn't turn on, can't type with it, nothing. I can't even get my defective product returned because I didn't need to use it until recently. Absolute waste of money for me.
Received the board a couple days ago, really like it so far. The Kailh Box Red feels much better than my previous Cherry MX Red.
There is a configuration tool (RGB lights, customized keys, macros) available form Flesports' homepage: http://www.flesports.com/down/, download the one named "FL980 CP-RGB有线单模 V1.02.05". The tool itself is available in English but I cannot find a download link in English.
Alright so my board has finally arrived! I am honestly really surprised how the good the out of the box experience is. I got mine with box browns (will be replaced so switch choice wasn't important to me) And you can tell the case has definitely some sort of dampening going on inside. the stabilisers stock are just fantastic, WAY better than I expected. No rattling or funkyness with them going on at all. The included keycaps are really quite good, altho I think the font on the modifiers is a little too big, but they're nice thick doubleshot PBT in Cherry/GMK profile. Good stuff here
Now one thing I do notice that is a bit janky and annoying. Good luck using this thing with other cables than the one it comes with. I have so far not a single type-c cable that clicks into place, and thus simply won't work. The original cable has plastic tabs that slide in the case, and that holds it into place, neither does it click. I really don't like this what so ever, because the stock cable is that rubbery stuff that goes sticky in a short while. A real shame they cheapened out there while the rest of the board really is very good.
Besides the jank cable thing, I would buy it again. No modification needed out of the box, plop it onto your desk, the stabs are good to go. Nice and quiet little board. Not sure if it's just my kind of luck with the connector issue, I'll try to fiddle around with it to see I can actually make it work with other cables.
Well, what I ended up doing didn't do any harm to the case. The USB port sits on a daughterboard, screwed into a plastic frame on the backside of the keyboard PCB. I snipped excess plastic away, moved the board forward, and made new holes for the screws to hold that daughterboard in it's new place, in that plastic frame. No screws poking trough or anything. Worked an absolute treat! The port is level to the hole and much closer forward, and now I can use any type-C I have no problem (those that fit in the narrow cable routing that is)
Overall great board for entry-mid level mech enthusiasts. Highly recommend this board as it touts a great features list
I tried to write up a decently long review but I guess the character limit is preventing me from uploading it. If you want to read more about my thoughts on the board, you can see them here: Google Drive link
The case is alright, it's held together with tabs as opposed to screws but you can still take it apart if you're careful enough.
RGB is fine, I don't use it but the RGB profiles are really nice once you understand how to use them, check the manual.
99% sure spacebar is 6.25.
After having this board for some more time and putting my Aliaz Silents in it, I can say I'm still quite satisfied with this board. Stabilizers certainly required some work to make them acceptable but since it's a hotswap board it's really no problem.
Good luck making your decision.
