Just bought this keyboard and immediately the spacebar doesn't work. I do not have the drivers installed as windows defender flags it, could this be the issue?
Nice silicone base and very easy hotswap and the south facing leds are just the cherry on top this keyboard is amazing would recommend to newer keyboard enthusiasts.
Watch out for this company... They don't seem to care that the software has a trojan in it. Windows won't even let me install the software because of it, and rightfully so. It's a shame because the keyboard itself is actually really nice for the price. I won't install the shady software until they come up with a solution and I would advise you not to as well. The issue from Windows defender is: Trojan:Win32/Tnega!ml, so I would be careful not to use the software from the site. I've been talking with flesports and they claim that they all "use the driver and that it's safe" but I don't feel reassured by that fact.
Hopefully they come up with a solution...
They recently updated the software and resolved the issue. It may have been a false positive but I didn't want to risk keylogging. Glad they listened to the complaints because it's a fantastic board for the price.
infodriveWindows not allowing installations and flagging is not always "virus" unless it says, i heard somewhere that they have to pay windows for it to get licensed and allowed
vichokupoxxFor now, I wouldn't install it since windows claims there's a trojan inside. If you're willing to risk the biscuit, you can get it here: http://www.flesports.com/down/
"estimated ship date December 17th"
Today being October 4th, you can buy for the same cost at AliExpress and have it here by November 6th, over a month before it even leaves Drop's warehouse.
They even have it in more colors. (Red and blue)
Every day I find a new way to wonder how drop is still in business.
I have this board, it's probably the only cheap kit from China that has south facing hotswap sockets.
It has a silicone mute between the PCB and plate. It has 3 USB-C ports to plug the board in, it's not pass through. Similar to Drop CTRL. I think it's unnecessary and ruins the side profile of the board. It has lock key indicator light next to escape key.
The only fault of this kit at this price is the plate. The PCB supports screw in stabs but the plate blocks them. So you have to file it down to use screw in stabs. Really odd choice.
The main competitor of this board is the BM80 which does support QMK and pcb mount stabs but its north facing and cost a bit more. I really hate north facing boards so I'd take this. You dont need QMK on a TKL. The software functions well enough and allows you to map a full FN layer on the on board memory. You can add a numpad for example. You can control RGB too, much easier than QMK.
I think the best use case of this board is making a silent keyboard. Throw some BOBA U4s in it and with cherry profile keycaps, it should be a good office board. The silicone dampener makes it fairly muted sounding board. You can remove it to make it loud.
I would buy the white one personally, looks a lot nicer than transparent ones and if you want to put foam in the case or tape mod it etc, it wont be visible.
Milad88I brought two keyboards to work so far :)
also, I'll play devils advocate with you guys.
if you're looking for the next keyboard in the office, this one looks sweet
