For one, the ear cups are about 7 millimeters larger, with soft cushions for increased comfort and noise isolation. The frequency response has been adjusted to bring the right tonal balance for louder environments—like city streets and train commutes—and the detachable oxygen-free copper cable is equipped with a universal microphone/remote for answering calls, navigating tracks, and changing the volume.

The 40-millimeter mylar/titanium drivers deliver clear, neutral sound with rich mid-treble and tightly controlled bass, and excellent soundstage and instrument separation throughout. The anthracite gray finish offers a classic counterpoint to the red and white of the Spirit One, and the headphone’s robust build quality ensures it can stand up to the rigors of daily use.
