I purchased a new CAD E100S on a very recent drop.  but now I have an interesting problem with my (also new) USB Audio Interface, a Focusrite Scarlett 2i2.  I am using Windows 10. I have recorded test videos with audio in both Open Broadcaster Software (OBS) and in Cyberlink YouCam.   The problem, to put it simply, is that upon playback, the sound was much louder on the left side of my headphones than it was on the right. So I disconnected the Focusrite, and ran the mic signal through a simple phantom power unit, and the recording was perfect.
Today, I reconnected the Focusrite, and reinstalled the latest drivers. I made several test recordings (using both OBS and Cyberlink), addressing the mic from the left, the center, and the right. Here are the strange results upon playback: When the mic was connected to the Focusrite's mic input 1, the sound was always substantially louder on the left, and when the mic was connected to mic input 2, the sound was always substantially louder on the right. I have no idea how this could happen, even in a faulty USB Audio Interface, but I'm thinking it may be time to return the Scarlett 2i2.
I have eliminated the microphone, the recording application, and the cabling as possible problems. And as I wrote, when a generic phantom power unit was substitute for the Focusrite the problem disappeared. So if the Focusrite is the issue, does anyone have any idea how to correct this problem? If anyone has any insight into how this could happen, I would be appreciative in hearing it before I wrap up the Focusrite and send it back.

DSK1its just a matter of routing problem..
for some reason your input 1 is set to pan left and input 2 is set to pan right.. there is a software included in focusrite to manage the routing.. i would suggest to go there and and play with it.. try switching them back and forth to mono and stereo, until you can get the output that you want...
