Massdrop customer care has said "they cannot guarantee" if the list of winners and upgrade will be made public. Where is the accountability? What if there was no upgrade done and bluebox given out? Who knows? End result: Foreverspin got more than 200 tops sold with no upgrade and museum giveaway, and Massdrop getting huge commission from them........
Who is listening to these grievances? In future I will never join any of these kind offers. This is surely a SCAM where Massdrop has washed it's hand by saying they cannot guarantee the publication of the upgrade and winners.
What a shame !
I am pretty new to Massdrop. Asking all the experienced Massdroppians....Can we do anything about it?

You're crying about something that hasn't happened? We're probably better off if you just forego massdop. I don't believe massdrop will publish who got what because people don't want that info known. I've personally gotten an upgraded item from an earbud deal similar to this.

Of course customers with selfish intent gives sellers this advantage to exploit customers. You said "we're better off" who are we here? Since when you have become the voice of Massdrop and consumer community? And who are you to tell me "forego" massdrop?
there are many ways Massdrop can publish the list without revealing identity of customers. Get some lessons on Economics and Business Management. You need it..
what a weird world where customer is fighting with customer defending seller .. wow!!
Age of consumer Transparency? Accountability? Age of "Consumer is the King?" Consumersism?? Ever read about these??

Thank you for the message. I hope the promise is kept this time too.. I do have some bad experience with foreverspin customer care.. My scepticism was all based on that..
Thanks again for the share..

I appreciate your volunteer spirit..... but that is not solving the issue I mentioned above. Massdrop and seller both has the excuse of consumer "asking not to reveal their identity" and hence taking a clear advantage of (God only knows) keeping it a secret and not giving the upgrade and bluedrop to anyone. I mean if Massdrop gives the list of winners as the username.....how is it revealing anyone's identity in anyway? This is the most stupid and absurd excuse anyone can give. There are some fake customers as well who definitely are either Massdrop employees or seller's gang who are raising these issues so that there won't be any transparency and everything is hidden that gives the seller and massdrop do do anything under the cover. Can you even believe it that other customer's have called me names for raising this issue? Customer's are against customers? Which time are we living in? Definitely not 21st century..... :-(

I admire your spirit bro, but as a follow pathological paranoid person I'd have to point out the following flaw in your reasoning...
If Massdrop was truly pulling the wool over our eyes, and truly has invested the time to setup "plant" accounts to vouch for them, wouldn't it be simpler to create 300 fake/plant accounts and publish them as the recipients of the upgrades?
You are essentially asking someone you think is lying to lie to you again.
For the record I don't think they are scamming anyone... But I'm a massdrop newbie and this is my first blue-box, so get back to me after I open a stainless top lol.

Hello Fellow Newbie, I am new to Massdrop too, though I have invested in about 5 items so far already in just one month. Maybe Massdrop is not scamming with Blue-Box at all, but to be called a responsible and transparent company, it should reveal the winners either through account name or the transaction number or some other way that doesn't reveal customer's identity. So that anytime if there is an investigation to be done (legally) things could be found. I do feel too that Massdrop will not scam anyone here, but where is the accountability here? Just in the name of "not revealing customer's identity" anyone can do anything here. It is just the "Blind Faith" that we all are following every blue-box and secret upgrade that Massdrop is bringing for us. I read somewhere that Foreverspin will do the upgrade and mail out the tops. Who is keeping a check on foreverspin? Where is the accountability sheet? It is same like........ we didn't see Clinton's email content......and we would never see Trump's Tax records....... What world are we living in?

Just getting back to you, my stainless steel top arrived today... So luck wasn't with me this time.
However, I say "this time" because I actually got some ear buds from another bluebox yesterday and they were an upgrade! So for their part I think massdrop is being honest. That said I suppose it could still vary from vendor to vendor, if they stick to the odds given.

Thank you for your honest reply and I really appreciate it. Yes the point you mentioned, it is true Massdrop is honest and they will maintain it since they are running a big establishment, but at the same time transparency is the key. Leaving upgrades and Blue-Box decisions on the vendor is not a good idea and anything can happen under the cover...... also taking excuse of "not revealing the identity of the customers" is again an unacceptable excuse. But glad that you got an upgrade in the other BlueBox drop.
For me, even if I did get an upgrade or BlueBox, I would still ask and support the cause: Transparency......
Thanks Mate :-)
