I collect spinning tops and got 4 tops (copper, SS, Damascus steel, black zirconium) and a base during a recent Kickstarter campaign that I eventually upgraded by adding a cast iron top, which in turn made me eligible for another "mystery" top and "mystery gift" both free of charge. I paid about 165 dollars US for the entire shebang. Hopefully, the mystery top won't be magnesium or aluminum because light weight is the last thing you want in a top (I am just too stingy to pay for the Tungsten although density and weight of that material kicks ass). In short, the Kickstarter campaign was more sensible financially than this drop considering that I paid about $22 per top w/materials much better than aluminum (except the mystery one, which may very well could turn out to be Al). The nice thing about ForeverSpin tops is that they won't break if you drop them, compared to the ruby studded high performance ones. Despite my criticism about the financial aspects of this drop, if you absolutely want to get into tops relatively cheaply, this may be a good venue to do so as you could purchase just one top to try whether spinning has an addictive quality. Just don't buy the aluminum or magnesium and don't expect double digit long spins...
