I have two of them. A Copper one and a Bronze one. While I like the aesthetic of them, they are not my favorite tops. That status goes to my Vorsos and Lambdas. The primary problem with the ForeverSpins is the stem. It's simply too thin and smooth making it difficult to get good purchase, or grip, on it. If you can't put enough torque and momentum into your spin you're simply not going to get good spin times. I've considered taking a wire wheel to the stem to rough it up a bit just so I can get a better grip.
Another issue I have found, at least with mine, is that the tips are not machined very precisely at all. An uneven point is definitely going to affect spin times and performance. You can tell if, when you spin it, you get a juttering or rotor sound out of it. A good point should make very little sound at all when using a glass surface. Naturally, any kind of drag like this is going to shorten spin times. I have since polished the tips on mine and no longer get a sound when I spin them and their performance has improved a bit. Still, that thin stem is a bigger hurdle to overcome.

I purchased a stainless top over a year ago from the foreverspin site and it works fabulously. Its unfortunate some people are claiming they can only get 10 seconds of spin, but i could easily get 4-5 minutes. even get a minute or so by spinning upside down!

Maybe 5 minutes is a bit exaggerated, but i timed a spin (for the first time) this morning at my desk and it was about 3:25. It didn't feel like particularly exceptional form either, so i know i can do better. But i can generally start a spin, do a few things in the office and come back to my desk to find the top absolutely still in place, you couldnt even tell it was spinning. Really a wonderful little thing!

CaptMcFizzleI just removed the sleeve of tubing from the stem and managed a 3:02 spin from my Damascus FS, which I think is among my best times for the bare top on an FS spin base. It was tricky to get though, most of my efforts just flinging the top off the stage. Definitely a different spin approach needed from more conventional precision tops, particularly those with a knurled grip on them. It seems that pinching the stem tip for a release is when I throw the top most; if I can get more of a full contact grip down the stem, such that I essentially "roll it out" of my fingers, then the launch is a better yet weak one. With the tubing added, the stem pinch style of launch works pretty well and gets more rpm on the launch. Overall, this just remains more "desk sculpture" that can be spun briefly, while my other tops are more for the joy of spinning and the amazement of seeing that some will go 15 minutes or even 30.

Just eye candy, they suck as spinning top. I purchased the entire set on offer from Kickstarter a year or so ago. Nice concept, but they really really need to improve the design. Actual spinning times for these tops are around 10 - 20 seconds compared to many minutes with other brands such as Janus, etc.

Beautiful, but none of them are made from actual silver. :( .999 fine, Sterling or otherwise.

Just got my ForeverSpin titanium, just wobbles, complete waste of my money. Maybe other materials will spin better, I don't recommend the titanium to anyone.
