I have since my childhood been attracted to spinning tops (toupies in French).
This ForeverSpin is one of my first one out of metal (I've had wood and plastic ones in the past).
Like it very much, although it does take some time to get acquainted with it :)
Not keeping it out all the time
Wish I had purchased the spinning plate :)
Purchased the damascus steel version and it was very difficult to spin without using a lot of force. Should of listened to the discussion about this piece. Overall, it was returned since it was very wobbly and it would not stay spinning for long.
I got the titanium top just because. I sorta wish I went with the Stainless Steel top as it would be heavier. For me, the top is so light (the lightest one that Foreverspin makes), that it is hard to get it to spin for a long time without having the top suffer from whiplash. I just need to practice more.
I have the stainless steel brushed top and the Damascus steel one as well as the spinning base. The tops are solid feeling and have a great smooth finish with no machining marks or anything undesirable like that. I had previously used the top without the base but now that I have it I can really enjoy the ability of these tops to spin for a long while, upwards of a minute. I think the base model top is very nice but it's cool that they offer different finishes. In the hand the stainless model has some heft to it so it's not like anything except the expensive ones feel good in the hand. I would recommend these to anyone looking for a high quality toy / fidget toy for home or work.
I have wanted a foreverspin top for two years. Tops are nostalgic for me and I really didn’t want to pay the price of these so really glad they were in Drop discounted . I will definitely order more. Mine didn’t spin for more than a couple of minutes but I truly wanted these more for a desk conversation piece and I love all things metal and shiny so will enjoy looking at it as much as spinning it. I was also surprised at the weight of the package..the spinning base is very heavy..the base and top were so pretty! I bought the brushed stainless steel top.
