I believe this is a really good price, a pity there are not enough night runners/cyclists/workers here on massdrop. Guys we should share this to our local sport groups..

I'd probably go for one if it was the AA version . But I just don't like exotic batteries , haven't been sold on em , not YET anyway....

AntibacterialDunno, I've never had trouble finding CR123A batteries myself. They were pretty commonly used by cameras and flashes back in the day. They do cost a little more admittedly but they provide 3V vs 1.5V which would need two AA/AAA batteries

Anyone know if this would be sufficient for running at night?

NoFaQA couple observations have me guessing this headlamp might be less than ideal for running. First, the way this light sticks out from the headband means the center of mass is further from the band securing it to your head, which might lead to it bouncing more vigorously. Second, the headband is just a ring, and doesn't have a center strap to cover the top of your head like some headlamps I've seen. These could be issues when you're running, but I can't say for sure since I don't have this unit.

Hrm. This would have to beat the specs of my Maratec AAA. 130+ lumens, One AAA battery (preferred), three modes with the lowest mode lasting 70 hours.

FYI - per the manufacturer's website, this light is water resistant to IPX-8.
Does anyone know if the listed weight of 1.03oz includes battery/what is the combined weight of the light + battery + headlamp strap?
