Any of you flashlight nuts know why there is little to no crossover between high end/output flashlights and bike lights? Just curious because they essentially do the same but in different forms. For example, I just bought a Cateye(Japanese) 6000l off-road light with 12 cell battery. It uses an unusual cob led and fan to keep cool and actually maintain that intensity... Pretty cool tech but very pricey at $800 Canadian. It would be nice to have more competition. It's just very bizarre considering they're near identical systems with completely different companies in each segment.

JakobAs you’re no doubt aware, there are plenty of flashlight bike mounts for standard flashlights. https://www.google.com/search?q=flashlight%20bike%20mount&tbm=isch This way, a single light can do double duty and you don’t have to buy a dedicated bike light.
