Beautiful, sharp, flimsy
First impressions are this piece is slim but substantial. It has a deep carry clip (which is a prerequisite for me), slender scales and fits smoothly in the pocket. The action was not particularly smooth but might improve with use. My primary complaint is the piece is is flimsy. There is very noticeable "play" in the pivot between the blade and the frame. When lateral pressure is applied to the joint, there is noticeable movement between the blade and the frame. When lateral pressure is applied, the scales and frame actually shift back and forth. I really wanted to love this piece but the play in the pivot is unacceptable. I'll use this piece for menial tasks like weekend yard work and other routine tasks. Unless this piece is my only option, there is no way I would carry it as my EDC or something that I would count on to get me out of a bind. I plan on working this knife to a dull, rounded edge. Maybe it'll hold up. But on first impression, it feels very cheaply built.
