The Jesper Voxnaes–designed Suru won Blade Show’s 2018 “Overall Knife of the Year” award. Sporting a Drop-exclusive combination of Bohler M390 steel, a Ergal 7075 aluminum handle, and a bold blue colorway, this version is even better. Like many Jesper Voxnaes knives, the Suru is stout and beefy. It packs a wide 2.3-inch blade into a less-than-6-inch aluminum frame to keep weight down. To further reduce weight, the scales are skeletonized with spotted holes, like drops of water in a pond. Thanks to the dual-choil design, the handle carries very comfortably despite the knife’s overall length. You can deploy the blade by way of the flipper tab or the thumb hole.
