Quick update for the group. The vendor let us know that they have yet to receive the 100 pieces and that they are looking into the hold-up. They are very sure that the shipment should arrive in the next couple of days and have promised to zip them over to us as soon as they are received.
We will continue to work with them and update the group as soon as we receive shipment confirmation.
We also understand this delay is rather undesirable. If you prefer not to wait for the pen case and want to have your order cancelled, just email us at support@massdrop.com, and we will process the refund right away.
If there’s any feedback or concerns, please feel free to email us back at support@massdrop.com
Otherwise expect an update from us on 12/5 or sooner if something comes up.

HassanSThese aren't even coming directly from the vendor? What purpose is the "vendor" serving besides being a middle-man who collects a bunch of money? Something sounds incredibly dishonest about this whole process.
Hey, Massdrop, I can get you something made by someone else, pay me?
Honestly, the fact that there are now 2 extra levels of removal between the manufacturer and the consumer (Massdrop, and whoever the vendor is), makes this drop extremely high risk and that should have been communicated. Now we are facing excessive delays for reasons we could not have possibly anticipated based on the information Massdrop provided at the time of purchase. Risks communicated by massdrop are delays from the vendor, and delays from their warehouse. There was no communication about the fact the "vendor" can't even guarantee the product cause they aren't even the ones "vending" it (wtf?!).
gnomedHi @gnomed.
Just to clarify, we refer to both manufacturers and distributors as "vendors." In this case, we work directly with Franklin-Christoph; there is no third party involved.
As we do with all drops, we specified a shipping timeframe that was agreed to by the vendor. We have also been disappointed by subsequent delays in the supply chain that were not anticipated.
We're sorry for the delay and doing everything we can from our end to ship the second batch of these ASAP.

gnomedFranklin Chrisoph does not have their own manufacturing facilities. They have manufacturers who produce the FC products (pens, pen cases etc.) to the FC specifications..nothing uncommon about this. It is disappointing though that FC has missed the agreed upon time frames. In my experience FC has EXCELLENT customer support, but I have experienced delays too in dealing with them directly. Mass Drop has offered what they can..cancel your order and receive a prompt refund. The FC products in my experience are worth waiting for...despite the delay. My opinion, for what it's worth.
