Um guys ... while it says at checkout I can choose black or MAROON leather, you only show brown, and the choices appear to be black or brown. So IS a choice maroon and if so you need to change options and SHOW the maroon before I'll be interested, and I AM interested ...

allisondblYou make a good point - this particular case is available in three (3) colors from the great people at FC: black, maroon and brown (see http://www.franklin-christoph.com/1-2-3-pen-cases.html).
BTW - If someone wanted to sponsor a Franklin Christoph Model 66 Stabilis "Solid Ice" drop, I'd be in on that. See http://www.franklin-christoph.com/model-66-stabilis.html - I own the "ice" version of their 40p fountain pen and it's a beauty.

allisondblHi @allisondbl, the item you see in our photos is the "Maroon" version. It's a nice reddish shade of brown with a smidgen of purple tone in the right light. Maroon is the name the manufacturer gives this color, but it certainly looks like a brown color. Sorry for the confusion!
@bob.corrigan, this is a Massdrop-exclusive Nappa leather that you won't find on the Franklin-Christoph website. It's a totally different feel from the saddleboot leather used for the other cases, and the Nappa Maroon has less of a reddish hue in real life.

LizI took a long look at the saddle boot leather on the FC site. . .and realized I prefer the Nappa. Good job getting an "exclusive" here.

LizLiz_M: Thank you SO MUCH for the reply! Good business people! Two points/questions: when you click on the pictures and hover mouse over the Not Black choice, it both appears AND IS CLEARLY LABELED "BROWN" so I have to question your reply. Can you double-check which is wrong the label or the picture? And curious: is the saddleboot leather your new line REPLACING the Nappa that you USED to sell?

The photo caption should now correctly read Maroon. The Nappa leather is an exclusive edition for Massdrop only, and is not replacing Franklin-Christoph's original Saddleboot leather line. Hope this helps!
