http://www.franklin-christoph.com/model-31-omnis.html So the price is the same as FC but with special color and without Masuyama nib option.

antifocus Without the Masuyama nib option is the deal breaker for me. I am addicted to the Masuyama (needlepoint) nib. Everyone of my FC pen (4 so far) uses the Masuyama nib.

Hayabusa342Yeah, definitely. I've been eyeing FC for a while, always wanted a Masuyama nib with the ice clear finish. It is really a shame.

antifocusI have been camping on their web page: http://www.franklin-christoph.com/fountain-pen-hq.html, to check their availabilities. Model 66 http://www.franklin-christoph.com/model-66-stabilis.html has solid ice. Model 02 http://www.franklin-christoph.com/model-02-intrinsic.html has smoke&ice and emerald&ice.

Hayabusa342Hey, thanks, they must cycled it since last time I checked. Will also be checking their stock room hope they will have something up after the phily pen show.

antifocusThe word is that F-C has put their left-over Philly show *pens* into storage for the next show, and won't be offering them in in their Stock Room (at least, not unless they change their mind about that). Other special Philly items were already posted there last week.
This drop having no Masuyama nib offerings is a deal-killer for me, too. Too bad! :-(

Hayabusa342So just swap them out. Do you seriously need five needlepoint-nibbed pens inked up at the same time?

ekfritzThe better question would be, do I seriously need five FC fountain pens? For the amount of money to spend, should I just wait for another opportunities with the exact specification that I want, instead of compromising?

antifocusF-C has changed their minds -- a Philly 31 was posted today (in a perfect color combo if you're a SF Giants fan).

antifocusThe Italian Ice is way cooler than the regular ice IMO. It has a really nice blue glow when in the right light.
