Sporting a classic look and premium materials, the Classic Moonphase from Frédérique Constant is a continual reminder of our rocky, orbiting companion in the sky. The dial is an assembly of polished stick markers and triangular hands. Each marker is geometrically shaped with slight ridges and peaks, creating a gleaming effect when the watch is held at different angles. Inside the stainless steel case is Fredérique Constant’s in-house 26-jewel FC-715 movement, one that offers a 42-hour power reserve and vibrates 28,800 times per hour. A hinged display caseback gives you a peek at the movement, while a sapphire crystal is fixed on the front to protect the dial.
Note: At checkout, choose between the FC-715MC4H4 and FC-715S4H6 (- $100) models.
The Frédérique Constant name comes from the two great grandparents of each of its founders: Frédérique Schreiner and Constant Stas—the latter of which began printing watch dials in 1904. Independent and family owned, this Geneva, Switzerland–based company puts a high emphasis on design, continually evolving to offer the most innovative technical features in its timepieces. Founded in 1988, it’s been exhibiting at the World Watch, Clock, and Jewelry Show since 1995. Each of its watches is assembled by hand, and undergoes a rigorous set of quality control checks before being finished.
