The Index from Frédérique Constant is a Swiss-made watch that pairs just as well with a collared shirt and slacks as it does a t-shirt and jeans. Sporting a white dial, slim markers, and lumed hands, the watch has a subdued look Read More
The diameter is part of the equation, but not the only part. In my personal opinion, a dress watch should never be more than 40mm. But, you can get away with a larger diameter if the lugs don't jut out beyond the edge of your wrist. I did notice that this watch has quite long lugs. Combine that with the 43mm diameter, and I think they've sized out most gents with smaller wrists. I do think this is a very nice looking watch, but they should definitely have an option for a smaller size. And they also get a red mark for the 21mm lug width.
Looks a Swiss Made Seiko SARB035. The sarb is just under 39mm, but slightly thicker at around 11.2mm.
Not to sound too much like old @RayF , but I just don’t understand all the complaints about size. I’ve got little girly wrists at 6.5 inches, and I wear everything from 37x10 Seiko 5 to a 45mm x 16mm Victorinox auto chronograph.
Watches of the same dimensions can wear quite differently based on case shape, bracelet/strap, temp/humidity, and the shape of your actual wrists.
For this particular watch, I’d be more concerned about the lack of half links combined with a deployant buckle preventing a perfect fit, which is what would influence wearability more than a few millimeters of diameter.
TL;DR: big watches are fine as long as you can get a good fit. Which is also what she said.
Actually, the Hotcakes drop (plural, btw--we had a lot of them), was a dismal failure!

Those who paid the ten-dollar upgrade fee for the "butter and syrup" version complained their hotcakes arrived cold, with sticky packaging, while those who selected the base model hotcakes later reviewed them as "bland and tasteless." Almost all of the purchases were refunded and the hotcakes community was subsequently discontinued.
Moral of the story: know what the hell you're talking about before you talk about hotcakes and watches!
I'm a first-time Drop customer here, so please bear with my maybe stupid questions. I'm based in EU, and if I order this, do I have to pay VAT on delivery? Will it be shipped from US by Drop, or from the watchmaker (presumably, from Switzerland)?
