This is a beautiful and elegant thin dress watch, blue and black is cool, not common, blue brown gets lots of love but i really like this, fyi I have a watch w similar dimensions and it uses a Renata 319 battery, it's next to impossible to find anyone carrying it retail locally [large metro area ], lots of 377 but although size diameter it is similar it's the thinness of the battery that doesn't match, I had to order a 319 online , so fyi those picking up this beauty pop it open in receipt and see what battery it houses so you can buy one ahead of time before you need to change it then have to wait for online order fulfillment and shipping.

I never understood why they get so much hate, Frederique Constant's automatic in-house movements seem nice. If anything, I think their marketing practices could use a lot of work as it sounds like they claim a lot of watches are in-house when they aren't. I think they're owned by Citizen.

Citizen owns them, not Swatch.

am not sure if the msrp on this drop is correct. i bought this same watch at a local tj maxx for 199, and i thought msrp was around 500 or so. exton pa tj maxx had one on sale for 149
"The dial is very minimal. Absent of numerals, it has thin markers and no complications save for a date window at 3 o’clock. "
The photos show Roman Numerals and no date complication. So which is it?

DangoTo be honest, you can actually find Frederique Constant's for cheaper elsewhere, especially for their quartz watches.

Can anyone help me understand why the date complication qualifies as dressy, luxury, formal, or traditional, while a second hand does not?
Aesthetics aside, there's function. You have to fix the date complication manually every 5 of 12 months. The second hand is useful in a lot of ways, like counting a pulse.
Also, any thoughts about sterile options? I think an unbranded face sans numerals is tons more appealing, but taste is subjective.

There is one error in the listing. Frédérique Constant was sold to Citizen, so it is no longer independent.

So how does this staff pick system work? Can you suggest some picks or is it up to just one person?
