We've continued to coordinate with the vendor about the remaining units and they've informed us that they are now en route to our warehouse in New Jersey. Tracking information hasn't updated just yet, but we will be sure to check back and update the group once the shipment is received and packages are turned around to each of you.

@david.zamora Definitely hear your frustrations and as a fellow photography enthusiast I understand the desire to have a camera in your hands as quickly as possible to begin shooting with it. As explained, the backorder experienced in this drop was truly unexpected and rare given our previous history with the vendor. Like JaySun mentioned, we've already communicated feedback to them about this and do not foresee it being an issue moving forward.
We hope you'll continue to remain a valuable part of the community and we appreciate your involvement!

Thanks for the offer to cancel orders. I did so, and want to say thanks for a very fast refund. I hope your vendor eats some money on this, clearly seems to be their fault.

Considering I was the 2nd person to make an order I'm a bit upset about the delay on the black body units. Seems that I may have to wait until the first or second week if March to get the camera. What to do....

The group's order ended up arriving earlier to our warehouse in New Jersey and many of the individual packages have already shipped back out. However, upon taking inventory of the units received, our team was made aware of a small backorder affecting those who ordered the Black option. Rest assured, we've reached back out to the vendor to resolve this and will relay any information we receive directly to the group as soon as we can.
We are thankful for your continued patience and you can expect an update from us by the end of the day Pacific Time on 3/1 or earlier if anything comes up.

In hopes of being completely transparent we are only explaining the situation as it unfolds. We know that there should be no missing units but we notified you at the earliest possible time after we found out about the shortage.

I do appreciate the notification, as it at leasts gives us a window. As photographers, I can assure you that most of us are counting down the days to receive the camera. The idea of getting out and taking photos with it as soon as we get it has been a daily thought since I became part of the drop. As mentioned by another person here, due to this delay, if I had the opportunity, I would quickly cancel the drop and purchase from another vendor just to get the camera sooner. With that said, would it be possible for us who are in this dilemma to receive a bump in shipping? I don't think that asking for an upgrade in shipping to either overnight or 2 day would be asking too much.

The vendor informed us that the group's order was picked up and is on its way to our warehouse. Based on the tracking provided, the order is scheduled to arrive 2/23.
Sometimes shipments get delayed en route, but we will keep the group updated throughout the fulfillment process and notify you all if anything causes delay.

We've been in touch with the vendor and they've let us know that they are still working to gather and pack the group's order for shipment to our warehouse in New Jersey. Thanks again for joining this drop! We have submitted the group's order with the vendor for the Fujifilm X-E2 16.3 with 18-55mm OIS Lens and they are working hard to prepare it for shipment.
As soon as the group's order is ready at the vendor's location, they will send the bulk shipment to our warehouse in New Jersey where our warehouse team will break it up into individual orders and ship them. The current estimated ship date from our warehouse is 2/23.

Disappointed here as well. Saw the drop and anticipated joining over the weekend- unfortunately as mentioned, not possible on Saturday. Looks like we have at least (4) users requesting the drop already and if extended by the same quantity would likely be a good customer service move to mitigate the hiccup.

Very glad the drop is still happening, despite it being sold out. I thought the drop was removed entirely and was expecting a 'sorry' email of some sort. I was VERY close to buying the same kit with local warranty from ditalrev.com for only a fraction more!

Ok, the opacity of Massdrop is beginning to grate on me. Did this drop expire because of time or because of capacity? I didn't see a limit on the number of units posted on the initial drop, and if it's now expired, it certainly had not on Friday night, when it mysteriously disappeared over the weekend. I appreciate what Massdrop is able to offer customers by leveraging retailers' unsold inventory for attractive pricing opportunities, but I'd rather pay higher prices for more transparent, reliable, and predictable customer service.

@JaySun and if we did not participate because the drop ENDED EARLY WITHOUT NOTICE, as in "before those who wished to participate could reasonably expect to have to commit," we can be sure of being excluded.
That's cool, I found the camera somewhere else at a similar price.

I agree we needed more transparency into the drop progress and the choice I made to hold the drop until more units could be acquired should have been communicated at that time and not after. Going forward this will be done in a more appropriate manner so the community will not be surprised.
