I think its a bit expensive, but at least for those in the USA shipping is free. For anyone else (Europe here) one needs to add shipping plus VAT making it totally ridiculous! A new XT-2 can be purchased for €800.

This is roughly half the price of what an X-T2 is available for. And one third the price of the X-T3. For slightly less you could buy a new X-T100, which lacks the weather sealing and has a traditional bayer sensor instead of the esoteric x-trans sensor*. Or for a little more you could get an X-T20, also without weather sealing. Both the X-T100 and X-T20 are newer, faster bodies with 24MP sensors (compared to the 16MP in the X-T1). The faster part is the primary reason I'm planning to upgrade away from the X-T1 (planning to get the X-T3). When trying to capture fast-moving subjects like sports or dance the EVF lag of the X-T1 is extremely frustrating. I didn't know that was my problem until I had the opportunity to try it side by side with an X-T2. Also, the X-T1 no longer receives firmware updates (except to add support for new lenses), where as the X-T100 and X-T20 are still supported by Fuji and may get bug fixes and new features as well as new lens support. And before buying, you should read up on the known issues with the X-T1. Notably, the A/V door on the left side of the camera starts to bow within a few months for most users. Everyone I know with an X-T1 has had this problem. It's not a big deal most of the time, but it's also obviously not sealing like it's intended to... and weather sealing is the primary difference between the X-T1 and the much cheaper X-T10/X-T20. Also, the grips tend to slip and peel after a while. For me, it started happening right about a year after I purchased it. Apparently if you send it for repair, they replace both the grips and the A/V door with newer parts that are less susceptible to slipping/bending. But a new one bought today will still have the old parts, and if you buy this one on Massdrop, I have no idea if you can get it replaced under warranty. You might have pay around $100-200 for the upgrade (not including shipping to and from the repair facility). *: I have been shooting with an X-T1 for a bit over a year now. I don't have a comparable camera with a bayer sensor to compare it to, so I can't give you my opinion on whether x-trans improves the look of pictures or not. What I _can_ tell you, is that if you want to shoot and edit RAW files, having an x-trans sensor means you will have fewer software options available to you. A lot of RAW editors don't support x-trans demosaicing, and even the ones that do are often noticeably slower at processing x-trans RAWs than with bayer RAWs of the same resolution. Whether or not the x-trans RAW editing penalty is justified by the difference in optical performance versus a bayer sensor is something you will probably need to decide for yourself. But it's worth asking, can you even tell the difference? https://fstoppers.com/gear/x-trans-versus-bayer-sensors-can-you-tell-difference-310112

SitwonThe X-T2 made major improvements In autofocus over the X-T1. I'd rather get a X-T20 than a X-T1 today.

I recently got a used X-T1 for $350. Really good condition. I agree with some comments that it’s too old to justify spending near $550 for a brand new one. You might be able to get a mint used xt2 for little more money. If you are “tight” on money, get a used X-T1 for half the money.

Curieux88Many thanks.
Fuji makes great cameras and great lenses. When I worked in broadcast news, over half of our Panasonics where outfitted with Fujinon lenses. I currently own the Fuji X-T3. Which is a state of the art monster of a camera. The predecessor, the X-T2 was also a really good camera. This camera however, is quite out of date. It will achieve decent quality results if all you are doing is posting to Instagram. But it's hard to justify considering it's successor has been on sale with increasing regularity since the X-T3 came out. The only scenario I'd consider this worthwhile would be if you are looking at getting in to the Fuji X system, but are stretched thin for cash. This will at least get you in to that system of lenses. Albeit with slow AF and not the best IQ.
Why are you so abusive? Did I steal your girlfriend or something? I did not say I haven't used it, I have. I do not own it though, and I do not believe that you have to have used a camera that is 3 generations old to say. "Hey there are better ways to spend your money!". One thing that I have noticed in the past few years, is that internet trolling used to be confined to the more sketchy corners of the web. But it seems that now everyone takes the anonymity of the internet as license to pick fights with strangers over the smallest things. Instead of realizing that every single person in the world has a slightly different point of view. If you think someone is making a good decision with their money to buy an obsolete camera, that is your opinion 'man'. I think they are better off going with the X-T20, or a used X-T2. https://www.massdrop.com/buy/fujifilm-x-t20-mirrorless-digital-camera-body But hey, keep chucking rocks from behind your side of the fence.

Wow, this is probably the worst price I've ever seen on massdrop. This camera commonly sells from 3-400 USD now since its 2 generations old. Sure this one is new with the special colorway but it costs more than what I paid for my XT-2 + battery grip a few weeks back and I doubt this comes with an official warranty even.
