Give me the X100t. I'm happy with that lens, functionally they are very similar and the X100t has a much better shutter and fill flash range, a way better viewfinder, is far smaller and lighter and includes a fantastic lens.
$1300 at retail but you can get it with full warranty for much less.
The X-T2 is a great camera, first real pro mirrorless body. It is excellent. If I wanted to shoot Fuji's excellent interchangeable lenses for this system, I'd get this camera. But when I'm lens switching I already have a backpack full of Nikon gear so the smaller X-T2 is really no advantage. If I'm doing street photography at 35mm equivalent, I have a smaller and lighter Fuji camera that does the job better.
I'm not saying the X-T2 is not a "better" camera than the X100t. I'm saying it's not enough better than my Nikons to justify switching, and when I'm doing almost any shooting that calls for 35mm equivalent, the X100t is better than BOTH systems. I stuff it in my Nikon bag in the hole where the 35mm prime used to go.

PACougThe Xt100 is an excellent camera for what it is but it is NOT a better camera than the X-T2.

TMortOf course it is--in a ton of situations. The only area where the T2 is better is when your situation calls for a different lens, or if you have to have 2 SD cards for backup purposes. Absent that, if 35mm equivalent is what you are shooting the fixed-lens X100t is better than the XT2 all day and all night.

PACougThe only thing that X100t has going for it is the leaf shutter and the "cool retro" style that gives you extra brag points. Not even close to X-T2. Different style cameras... If you are doing street photography and you want to look cool, yeah, get a X100t or wait for the new X100f. But I can do street photography with my 70-200 2.8 if I want to. There are no rules. Shoot whatever you like and be happy.
