So I have this connected to my PC via USB and I'm getting the crackling/cutting out issue some people have mentioned here, which to me isn't that big of a deal since I rarely use it on my PC and mostly use this DAC for my TV. But on the TV I have another problem; is this thing supposed to just have no sound when it receives a 5.1 signal? I have it connected from TV > Optical Cable > DAC > Headphones. When I watch something on Netflix and it defaults to 5.1 I just get no sound, I can switch it to Stereo and it's fine but with Prime Video there's no option to switch and it's stuck on 5.1 so I have no sound. Is that supposed to happen or am I doing something wrong? Pretty great device otherwise for a low price. When it works the sound is amazing.

boopalI had the crackling/cutting out issue on my PC when I had it connected to a USB 3.0 hub. I reconnected it directly to a rear USB port on my PC and the issue went away (you can try connecting to a front USB port, but these sometimes are low powered and can cause the same issue, in that case try your rear USB ports). And I believe for the Netflix issue, I read somewhere that you need to go into your TV's audio settings and change the signal to PCM when using optical connection. Hope this helps!

bonelesscheeseHey, I figured out what caused the crackling. It only seems to happen when I have both my TV and PC on, and they're both connected to the DAC. For the Prime Video problem switching to PCM on the TV worked, thanks!
