Good DAC for a beginner, does what it needs to
I was mainly in the market to buy a headphone amplifier for my new DT 770 80 ohms, and on my search, I got into the deep rabbit hole of audio equipment. This DAC AMP seemed like a great cheap option to satisfy my power needs, and give me some options. Since the only thing I can compare it to is my motherboard audio, maybe my review doesnt hold too much water. But it's good. Drives my headphones loud and clear, and has a nice clean sound. It has one weird issue though. When I have RCAs connected to it's back, but the amplifier is turned off, the headphone output sounds deep fried. It's clipped and and sounds weird. But if I turn the speaker amp on, the dac headphone output gets fixed. Odd little thing. In the photo I shared you may even see the amp next to it being turned on, but its volume is set to zero. A simple workaround, but still a necessary workaround to a small issue. I got the gray one because I thought I'd be a hipster and not get the black like everyone else recommends. But please get the black. The white text on the gray face plate is so invisible, it makes me squint even though I sit like a foot away from it. I would have probably gotten the IFI ZEN DAC, had I not needed two inputs for my PC and Switch. This works with the nintendo switch via USB by the way, which is really nice. And thankfully I have not had it die on me, even though many reviews out there say it dies really fast, or straight up DOA. I'll probably update this review if it does on me. Two weeks it, so far so good.

NabalazsHi, how did you get yours to work with your Nintendo Switch? My Switch simply does not detect it at all.
