Sennheiser PC37X randomly goes bad after disconnecting the cable ?
Greetings, Yesterday I was using my headset like normal with my macbook, just listening to music and on a call with people like usual, and the headset was perfectly fine. The stock wire that came with the headset is extremely long and yesterday it annoyed me very much that it kept getting tangled with itself, so I decided to see if the cable is replaceable. I pulled out the cable from the headset and saw the adapter, and looked online for a replacement. Upon plugging it back in, the audio sounded extremely muffled and washed out. Hope it helps.
Sound stage and imaging is clear and sounds really good on that one with AKG 7xx.
BUT, you have to understand I like my LOUDNESS IN THE "EAR-BLEEDING" RANGE !!! AND just a question if I'm not out of LINE !!! I'm getting the DAC- X6 on MASSDROP even through I've been offered a Price lower !!! I thought the purpose of MASSDROP was to Form Groups to get good prices for all of the Buyers and not just for a GREAT PRICE for just a FEW ???
Conceptually what's going on here is that it's literally a way to tap the output that would have been fed to the amp stage. You don't make the sound quieter by attenuating a signal BEFORE feeding it to the amp, you reduce the gain of the amp. So not reducing volume on the pre-out is working as expected here.
