If you’re looking for signature tube warmth, you can get them all in one device: the TUBE-03MKII from FX Audio. This versatile audio solution can be used as a speaker preamp, headphone amp, Bluetooth receiver, and a DAC. Its warm and natural sound comes from a unique tube buffer circuit and two GE5654 tubes—but these can be replaced by 6J1, 6J4, 6AK5, 6K4 tubes for different sound signatures. The onboard headphone op-amp (OPA1656IDR) can also be replaced by higher-end op-amps like the MUSE02 or AD827. A QCC3008 Bluetooth 5.0 chip supports the aptX codec for reliable connectivity, while a well-regarded ESS9023 DAC chip delivers detailed conversion. Fine-tune your sound even further with onboard tone controls.
