This isn't a typical G Shock. Analog style G Shocks tend to be a bit more expensive, and if this was the black version, I'd definitely be in for one.
The Android watches are just a bit too bulky, and the fact that they have a battery in them that needs to be recharged constantly, is kind of a deal-breaker to me. The aesthetics just aren't appealing to me, but that's mostly because they can't be made smaller, due to battery technology.
1stGenRexWhat? The only big player that has come out with an android smartwatch is Samsung and it was horrible Most big companies haven't even released their android smartwatches yet you're jumping to conclusions based on the few poor and rushed attempts you have seen so far?
AnfieldPebble, Sony Smartwatch2, and the Moto360 concept is what I'm basing my conclusions on.
When the "big players" can come up with something like this

Then I'll be interested. In the mean time, I'll continue to wear a traditional watch (mechanical or otherwise).
1stGenRexLooks pretty typical to me... "Analog" watches are nothing special. Automatic watches may be what you're thinking of. Those typically require more skill to make.
PandaSPURI'm very familiar with the difference. I'm wearing an automatic watch now. Look into it and you'll see that most of the analog G-Shocks cost a bit more than the LCD ones, even though they both have a quartz movement.
