I have a similar setup using products from TEC Accessories, and it's actually more useful than you might think. Instead of your pocket EDC being a messy ball with sharp corners at the bottom of your pocket that is a chore to get out, you get a flat hanger that uses your pocket space much more efficiently, without stabbing your legs, and that is easy to pull out by simply grabbing the pocket clip (or pull tab in the Mini-D case). As a bonus the attachments are organized rather than a tangled mess. However, I switch back and forth between two types of setup, the other being basically a carabiner hooked to a belt loop at the front of the pants, with attachments clipped to it and hanging inside the pocket. I find this to be better for things like the Beta-QR flashlight because I can pull it up, release the flashlight and let the rest stay hanging outside the pocket. With the clip setup I'm instead left with the other attachments in one of my hands, plus I can't easily release the Beta-QR while still holding on to the pocket clip. So depending on your EDC, a pocket clip like the Mini-D may be either an advantage, or a disadvantage. http://www.tecaccessories.com/P-7-Suspension-Clip http://www.tecaccessories.com/UFO http://www.tecaccessories.com/Split-Ring-Kit-2 $31 for those three which together makes a setup similar to the Mini-D, so it's a bit cheaper but also has some disadvantages. If I hadn't already used up my money on Massdrop for a while I'd join this drop for the buy-it-for-life quality, premium metals, solid design and overall craftsmanship that seems to have gone into it. But this type of item certainly isn't for everyone.
