Hi Gamble. It's hard not to be a bit snarky with the price you're charging for this. I understand your comments about making them yourself, doing it for fun, etc.
For a somewhat arbitrary comparison, I just bought a set of 250 drill bits, which are precision machined (in China) and came in a nice hinged metal case. There is likely about 50 times as much metal as in the Mini-D (probably more), and I paid $24.95 for all of them. Of course steel is not titanium, but it's more than good enough for this use case.
If you want to sell these in anything other than a handful of numbers, you need to go for mass production. Obviously this is not my business though and is entirely up to you.
Side note, you're pretty snarky yourself about Massdrop's handling of your product pics.
Anyway, good luck with the drop and your business.

MindJuiceGuess I'll chime in here. As you point out economies of scale allow for very different pricing in mass production. This is handmade from titanium, hugely different story when it comes to costs and the economics of it. I have a Gearpull from Gamble's kickstarter some time back and the quality and care that was put into making it shows.
I'm willing to pay for this one because I appreciate Gamble's work, the only thing I would change about my gearpull is making it a bit smaller and so the Mini-D fits the bill. $50 for something I'll probably still be using 20 years from now is not a large expense and I have no doubts the product will hold up.
