We recently threw away all our old pans that had 'non-stick' surfaces. Went with a simple 12" Al-clad frying pan, a 2 quart 3-ply pot, a large cast-iron post and a dutch oven. I know four pieces (all with lids) from 4 different manufactures, but these four piece cover 90+% of our needs and had we bought them when we were young, would have lasted a life time. I guess we've spent 4x more on 'disposable', less well performing and possibly hazardous pans in the past. These four pots/pans have us covered, live long and prosper!
