Lubed clears are my most beloved switch and we all have a different sensitivity acknowledging the feedback.
From my experience with lubed browns and clears using different springs you can get a pretty close feedback depending on lubing and spring.
But i would like to know, regarding the feedback given later on, will Gateron be willing to produce prelubed clones of clears or is this drop meant to give us a chance to decide which springs to take to mod it by ourselves.
Edit: Further thoughts, it might be a good idea to label/mark the switches to make it easier to tell which one is which. 10 people making a measurement might lead to 5 opinions and not all of us might have a scale ...
A simple color dot with an edding might help, pink is 55g and blue is 80g .... The colors/weight could be mentioned here, not needed to print that.
The shipping is more expensive than the product itself, this is fine by me if this drop is meant to help me decide which springs to take to help me prevent to buy something wrong for selfmoding, which leads to the point further spring drops should have the option to get some lube too.
If this drop is meant as some kind of "prototyping" for a new product design based on our feedback the shipping cost might be arguable, because i can get the nice Topre Realforce 87U for $10.35 shipped to my door (which is an incredible price) and $8.67 shipping for 5 switches and a keycap puller doesn't look that good anymore. Prototyping should have some benefit.
Mikami, you mention that you can get Topre Realforce 87U for 10.35$ and that really interests me :)
Pretty sure he's referring to shipping costs, not the price for the board.
I am pretty sure they will be offered as pre lubbed switches again, with this just being to test the feeling of them. And I do with gateron would offer something closer to an MX clear, obviously that would be ideal
Oops, well that makes sense.
